An entity is a person, business, place (location), or thing.
Creating a Brand Entity
For a simple site, to use entities, one does not need more than a basic understanding of how words are semantically related. In short natural language processing is using words the way you think about them. And, related entities are often related pages on a website.
If begining with a new site, the URL and site name will become an entity.
Creating a unique site name, avoids confusion between the traditional meaning of the name and the topical terms related to your specific site. This blue ocean approach can save alot of time. Content placed on your site may not be related to the entity of a site that uses a descriptive domain name.

Most concepts can not be fully covered in one page. Even the concept of entities has a lot of nuances and numerous points of view. A listicle has a topic, (an entity), with a LEDE which is a TLDR for the topic and all the sub-topics related to the main topic. The LEDE can find its way into a featured snippet on the top of a search or be used in part for an AI overview.
The logical structure of a listical applies to a website.
It is not necessary or desirable for SEO or user engagement that the home page attempts to contain all the content. To appear for more search terms in Google and other search engines, additional pages specific to those terms, concepts, products or services should be created.
Links from the home page to the services is all that is needed, both for local search and international search.
